There are so many misconceptions
about hypnosis. I’ve been in health care for nearly 30 years, and I
still hear new misconceptions about it almost daily. So, take a
moment to read this. Know the facts. If you attempt to
benefit from hypnosis, going into the process with misguided notions
will not help you achieve and maintain your goals.
Myth: You’re asleep during
hypnosis. Myth: Some people don’t
experience hypnosis. Myth: You’re in a coma during
hypnosis. Myth: You’re out of control
during hypnosis. Myth: You lose your moral
values during hypnosis. Myth: Hypnosis is brainwashing. Myth: Only geniuses experience
hypnosis. Myth: Only gullible people
experience hypnosis. Myth: Only children experience
hypnosis. Myth: Women are more successful
